മാളില്‍ കടന്ന അക്രമി വെടിയുതിര്‍ക്കുകയായിരുന്നു.
അക്രമിയെന്നു സംശയിക്കുന്ന യുവാവിന്റെ സിസിടിവി ദൃശ്യം അധികൃതര്‍ പുറത്തുവിട്ടു. ആക്രമണത്തിനു കാരണം വ്യക്തമല്ല. അക്രമി ലാറ്റിനമേരിക്കന്‍ വംശജനാണെന്നാണു സൂചന.
434,000 ചതുരശ്ര അടിയുള്ള ഷോപ്പിങ് മാള്‍ ഒഴിപ്പിച്ച പൊലീസ് രാത്രി മുഴുവനും കെട്ടിടം പരിശോധിച്ചെങ്കിലും അക്രമിയെ കണ്ടെത്തിയില്ല. പൊലീസ് എത്തുന്നതിനു മുന്‍പേ ഇയാള്‍ കടന്നതായാണു സൂചന. പരിസരവാസികളോടു വാതിലടച്ചു വീട്ടിലിരിക്കാന്‍ പൊലീസ് നിര്‍ദ്ദേശം നല്‍കി. അക്രമിയെ നേരിട്ടു കണ്ട ഇരുപതോളം പേരില്‍നിന്നും മൊഴിയെടുത്തിട്ടുണ്ട്.
ഒരാഴ്ച മുന്‍പാണു മിനസോട്ടയില്‍ മാളില്‍ അക്രമി ഒന്‍പതുപേരെ കുത്തിപ്പരുക്കേല്‍പ്പിച്ചത്. ഇയാളെ പിന്നീടു പൊലീസ് വെടിവച്ചുകൊന്നു.
